Baked Sea Bass With Vietnamese Chilli Sauce
This fish dish is all about fresh flavours!
Ingredients
- 1 large cleaned Sea Bass
- 2cm piece of Ginger
- Lemon juice (1 whole squeezed lemon)
- Half a sliced lemon
- Chopped coriander
- Sea salt
- 2 tablespoons of Olive oil
- Pepper
- 1.5 tablespoons of Curious Elephant Vietnamese Chilli Sauce
Instructions
- Make 3 to 4 diagonal cuts on the top side of the Sea Bass right through the bone
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top
- Season the fish with sea salt and pepper
- Insert the lemon slices into the fish belly
- Slice ginger into wafer-thin matchsticks and spread over the top of the fish
- Generously rub the Vietnamese Chilli Sauce over the top side of the fish
- If you have time, allow the prepared fish to marinate in the fridge for 24 hours
- If the fish has been marinating, allow it to return to room temperature before cooking
- Pre-heat the oven to 220°C
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil onto the bottom of the baking dish and spread evenly
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the top side of the fish
- Bake for around 20 minutes depending on your oven (until the fish is cooked through)
- Garnish with chopped coriander
